RANGER ANTIPOACHING EQUIPMENT

Donate to this absolutely vital ongoing requirement!

Rangers throughout the Lower Zambezi Valley at ZAVARU, Mana Pools, Mkanga, and Kapirinengu have benefitted from anti-poaching equipment and materials necessary for antipoaching operations donated through Tashinga Initiative’s European Union-funded CITES MIKES project:  to mention some:

  • Chest webbing (Designed by a specialist)
  • Binoculars (Bushnell, rubberized)
  • Tents
  • Boots (Courteney)
  • GPS (Etrex)
  • VHF Radios (Motorola and Hytera)
  • Antipoaching vehicle
  • Antipoaching boat
  • Life Jackets
  • Spotlights
  • Safety equipment for boats
  • Spare propellers
  • Fuels and oils
Tents usually last about 9 months to a year after use in extremely rugged conditions, and boots definitely need replacing after a year. Other equipment requires replacement batteries.
Please consider donating to Tashinga Initiatiave’s effort to provide Ranger Patrols with necessary equipment.
